First club race of the year. This is my best guess of when we will be able to start club racing. As with every spring season, lake ice and the access road condition will determine when we can access the club. We do not always have a race committee this early in the season and racing may be self run. Please remember that safety comes first. Dress for air and water temperature. The water in the lake is coldest early in the season. If you do not have the appropriate gear please wait to join us until it is safe to do so. We would love to have you but need everyone to stay safe.

First start warning is Tuesday at 6PM we generally race till 8pm, the wind dies or the sun gets low. All races are conducted under the latest version of the RRS 2025-2028. All sailboats are welcome to join. Racing will continue throughout the year on Tuesday nights until labor day when we will switch to Saturdays.

Flat Water Freeze Out (30 May 2026)

This is the clubs first laser regatta of the year. Eligible classes are ILCA 7 ( full rig), ILCA 6 ( radial) and ILCA 4( 4.7m). More info to follow. At the moment the regatta is for club members only.

This is a SCIRA Canada Sanctioned regatta. That means the regatta is open to any Snipe crew and boat in good standing with SCIRA international. More details to follow.

Youth Learn to Sail Program - 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM

This year we are offering 7 separate weeks of our youth learn to sail program for children ages 8-16. Week 7 is reserved for participants aged 12+. This program is a combination of sailing and land-based activities in a safe and fun learning environment, rain or shine.

We teach to the standards of Sailing Canada's CanSail program, offering CanSail levels 1 to 4. Participants brand new or beginners to sailing should be signed up under 'CanSail 1&2'. Only register for 'CanSail 3&4' if the participant has already received their CanSail 2 level.

$300 per participant/week, $20 discount available for members*

Participant must arrive each day with: lunch, snack, water (1 litre MINIMUM), Canadian Dept. of Transport approved PFD, whistle attached to PFD, sun hat, sunglasses with tie band, sun screen, towel, swimsuit and a change of clothes.

Commodore's Cup (11 Jul 2026)

Join us for the Commodore's cup. All boats welcome. 11 AM skippers meeting followed by a race to the Dam and back. Then BBQ lunch (all members welcome) and awards ashore.
