Hello everyone.  I just wanted to wish you all a great year being on the water, whether sailing or kayaking.  I became a member on April 15, 2020.  I was new to such a club and also concerned about getting a spot for the kayak I had just ordered.  The person I was emailing about membership implied there wasn’t much space left for a kayak so I felt I needed to sign up right away to assure a spot, even though I was uncertain about when my boat would arrive.

My kayak finally arrived in Tillsonburg in mid-August that year - incredibly late (since I ordered it in March) due to the pandemic and businesses like Eddyline retooling to produce personal protective equipment.  Thankfully I got in a few paddles before it got too cold.  And I was really grateful for having a place to put my new kayak… my first one!

But, after considerable thought and research, I’ve decided to change clubs for my kayak this year… a club that better meets my needs in all the areas that count for me.   

I met a couple of good people at the Guelph Club and I wish them both the very best.  Hopefully I will see them when I come for my kayak in May but if not maybe on the water somewhere this summer.
